The Origins of a Family Expertise
In Cazouls-lès-Béziers, Henri Julien worked as a cooper. His son, Léon Julien, then founded the cask wagon factory near the station, marking a new chapter in the family's history.
Alongside him, his nephew Léon Jougla learned the ropes, mastering the trade step by step until becoming foreman.

Tonnellerie Jougla
Building on this experience, Léon Jougla founded his own company: Tonnellerie Jougla.

The company employs nearly 100 workers
Becoming the 2nd largest local employer after the Juliens. Claude, Léon Jougla's son, began his apprenticeship there.

Claude Jougla Takes Over
Visionary and passionate, he developed the business in France and strongly advocated for the superiority of wood over stainless steel.

The company modernized, while preserving its traditional craftsmanship
It conquered new markets and launched its international growth.

The cooperage was acquired by the Lasserre family, under the name 'Tonnellerie d’Aquitaine'.
